Job Description

  • Conduct a desk review of relevant local documents related to the roles of community volunteers in case management (this may include case management frameworks, SOP’s, job descriptions, capacity building materials, forms, etc.)
  • Conduct a set of interviews with stakeholders at country level using questions developed in consultation with the lead consultant.
  • Collect information to write detailed reflective case studies on two organisations who engage community volunteers in CM work in the humanitarian response. In order to collect this information, the consultant will need to:
    • Conduct interviews with staff in the organisation who manage and support and train volunteers who are doing CM work. This will include recording and transcribing the interviews into English.
    • Conduct a series of participatory workshops (with no more than 10 participants) based on an outline of activities developed in consultation with the lead consultant with volunteers from the two selected organisations. Record and transcribe all discussion with volunteers into English.

    Plan International and the CP coordination structures in country will support coordination with key partners and local government agencies’ staff in order to support the CECM Field Consultant.

    5. Deliverables

The CECM Field Consultant is expected to produce their findings that reflects the participatory methods used in the methodology.
