Job Description

• Review key program documents, including but not limited to: the technical proposal, cooperative agreement, approved 6 Month Refinement Period Work Plan, draft Activity Monitoring, Evaluation and Learning Plan (AMELP), USAID Country-Specific Information, etc.
• Review the f ollowing key USAID documents to familiarize or re-familiarize with USAID’s Conflict Assessment Framework, Conflict sensitivity in value chains, as well as USAID’s recommended resource of Peace Exchange Library and Network.
• Work in a proactive advisory role to contribute to the design of initial key deliverables, including the FY21 Annual Work Plan and the FY21 monitoring, evaluation and learning plan. This will be done by providing guidance on incorporating conflict-aware approaches and shock response contingency plan in activity planning and implementation
• Participate in Yalwa staff meetings related to initial activity assessments and work planning sessions to understand program approach and advise on best practices to integrate conflict lens and operate in an NPE.
• Lead the development of a Yalwa conflict-sensitive strategy to implementation, and best practices for operating in non-permissive environments.
• Lead the development of a Yalwa Shock Response Contingency Plan to strengthen the resilience of Yalwa’s beneficiaries to various shocks,
• Develop 2-page overview that summarizes the Yalwa activity’s conflict-aware strategy and approach to operating in insecure, non-permissive environments.
• Participate in technical design discussions and author/edit sections of the annual work plan and monitoring, evaluation and learning plan to ensure best practices from the USAID Conflict Assessment Framework and Shock Response Contingency Plan are incorporated and adequately addressed.
• Provide high-level input/review of the Security Operations Plan to be developed by Regional Security manager and HQ Senior Director of Security
• Make a presentation of the two consultancy deliverables ( conflict-aware strategic approach, shock response contingency plan and security operational Plan) to RISE II partners and other key stakeholders at a meeting organized by Yalwa
