Job Description
· Help ensure the presence and visibility of UNFPA on the Internet and social networks;
· Contribute to photographic and videographic coverage of events in the context of the office is assigned;
· Ensure the editing (editing, layout) of the supports (paper and audiovisual) of the office including annual and thematic reports and newsletters;
· Contribute to ensuring the visibility of UNFPA in the Intranet in partnership with the Program Officers;
· Contribute to capacity building of country office staff and national partners (Ministries and civil society organizations) on the use of information and communication technologies to promote the program;
· Participate in the implementation of the office’s communication strategy and in the monitoring and evaluation of this implementation.
In addition to the above, United Nations Volunteers are encouraged to:
Strengthen their knowledge and understanding of the concept of volunteering by reading the material made available by the UNV program, external publications and actively taking part in UNV program activities, for example getting involved in the commemorative activities of the International Volunteer Day (JIV), on December 5 of each year.
· Become familiar with and develop any form of traditional and / or local volunteering at the level of the host country.
· Reflect the type and nature of the voluntary actions they undertake, including their participation in substantive reflections.
Contribute to the writing of articles on field experiences to be submitted for publication of the UNV program / website, newsletter and press notes, etc.
· Promote or advise local groups regarding the use of online volunteers or encourage individuals and organizations to use the services of online volunteers when technically possible.
