Our Client, a Civil Engineering firm with headquarters in Nigeria and branches across five African countries, is seeking suitable candidates for the following advertised positions. In addition to satisfying the job descriptions below, ideal candidates should be residents/citizens of either Liberia, Sierra Leone, Nigeria, Ghana or India.

Job Descriptions

Key Expert 1 (K1): Structural Engineer (Team Lead) of Team leader

Shall possess at least a master’s degree in Civil or Structural engineering.

Shall demonstrate at least 15 years’ professional general experience in engineering infrastructure projects. Some knowledge in cross-border transport facilitation projects will be an added advantage.

Shall demonstrate of having participated in at least three (3) similar projects related to infrastructure design, structural design and construction of office and industrial buildings, including design of water supply systems (boreholes and reticulation systems) in the last 10 years.

Shall demonstrate of having been a Team Leader in at least two (2) projects related to infrastructure design, structural design and construction of office and industrial buildings including design of water supply systems (boreholes and reticulation systems) in Sub-Saharan Africa in the last 8 years.

Shall be fluent in two (2) of the ECOWAS Official languages. (English, French or Portuguese). Knowledge of any of the other ECOWAS official languages will be an advantage.

Key Expert 2 (K2): Senior Architect

Shall possess at least a master’s degree in Architecture.

Shall demonstrate at least 15 years’ experience in the engineering design and construction of buildings.

Shall demonstrate of having participated in at least three (3) design of office building projects in the last 10 years.

Shall demonstrate of having participated in at least 2 design office building projects in sub-Saharan Africa in the last 8 years.

Shall be fluent in one (1) of the ECOWAS Official languages. (English, French or Portuguese). Knowledge of any of the other ECOWAS official languages will be an advantage.

Key Expert 5 (K5): Electromechanical Engineer

Shall possess an Engineering Degree in electro-mechanics or electrical engineering.

Shall demonstrate minimum of at least 5 years general experience electro- mechanical engineering.

Shall demonstrate of having participated in at least 2 projects involving electrical, photovoltaic, weighbridge and Scanning station design.

Shall be fluent in one (1) of the ECOWAS Official languages. (English, French or Portuguese). Knowledge of any of the other ECOWAS official languages will be an advantage.

Key Expert 6 (K6): Cost Estimation Engineer/Quantity Surveyor

Shall possess at least a master’s degree in Quantity Surveying or Building Construction or Engineering.

Shall demonstrate minimum of at least five (5) years general experience in engineering projects estimations.

Shall demonstrate of having participated in at least 2 projects involving the estimation and preparation of Bill of Quantities for civil, office buildings and industrial buildings including water supply systems (boreholes and reticulation systems).

Shall be fluent in one (1) of the ECOWAS Official languages. (English, French or Portuguese). Knowledge of any of the other ECOWAS official languages will be an advantage.

Key Expert 9 (K9): Regional Trade/Border Management Specialist

Possess a master’s degree in business administration, Trade, Economics or any relevant field.

Have at least 10 years’ experience in regional/continental trade policy analysis including cross-border transport logistics.

Must have a good knowledge of border control management, joint border post projects, trade and transport logistics and patterns in West Africa Evidence of his/her involvement in at least two (2) projects will be required.

Must have been involved in at least two (2) projects in which analysis and projections regarding trade flows at regional and international levels were carried out.

Must have knowledge of the WTO Trade Facilitation Policies and the WCO SAFE Framework of Standards which addresses threats to supply chain security, while equally supporting facilitation of legitimate and secure businesses.

Working Experience in the sub-Saharan Africa Region in at least one (1) project; and

Shall be fluent in one (1) of the ECOWAS Official languages. (English, French or Portuguese). Knowledge of any of the other ECOWAS official languages will be an advantage.
