Job Description

We are an FMCG group located inIpaja, Lagos currently in need of a Food Technologist who is a Graduate ofFood Science and Technology to Head the Production department. Thepreferred candidates must be Male/Female HND/B.SC /M.Sc graduates not more than40 years old who have previous experience in a Food industry thatspecializes in working with flour products. 

The Job description includes, but isnot limited to the following:

  • Ensuring Daily that Production Staff Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (G.M.Ps), Good Hygiene Practices (G.H.Ps) and Standard Operating Procedures (S.O.Ps) before commencing each day’s work and at all times.
  • Ensuring Daily that Processing and Packaging Areas are adequately in Compliance with Good Housekeeping (G.H.K) before and after and Production.
  • Daily Planning of Production and Requesting of Raw and Packaging Materials and other Machine Consumables from Warehouse Dept.
  • Daily Organizing of Workforce for effective and efficient use in achieving Production Targets.
  • Ensuring maximum utilization of both Raw and Packaging Materials; reducing loss to barest limit.
  • Liaising with the technical department to ensure maintenance of machines as scheduled.
  • Liaising with Quality Control Dept. to ensure Processing and Packaging activities are carried out according to set Standards.
  • Developing Operational Systems that will comply with standards of both National and International Food Regulatory Bodies. (SOPs, Health &Safety, HACCPs Plan).
  • Liaising Daily with warehouse for Stock Level so as to pack Products according to sales volume and transfer accurate number of cartons produced to warehouse.
  • Supervising Weekly General Sanitation of all Processing and Packaging Areas
  • Ensuring that Machines and Equipment are daily cleaned before and after use.
  • Daily documentation of Quality Parameters of all Products during Packaging Operation.
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly and yearly report as may be requested
  • Enforcing discipline and orderliness in the Production Halls at all time.
  • Any other function as may be assigned by the company necessary to the achievement of the company goals
