Job Description

Everythm is a fast-growth US-based advertising agency, seeking an experienced Business Development candidate to lead our expansion in Nigeria.

The Head of Partnerships – Digital Advertising will be responsible for overseeing the establishment of our local presence. As our first hire, you will need to hit the ground running, forming partnerships with local agencies and suppliers, and negotiating contracts with new customers. Strong leadership skills are a must, as you will assist corporate leadership in recruiting and managing a sales/account management team of 2-5 reports within the next year.

Everythm is a performance-based ad agency helping ecommerce brands and digital products reach a massive audience to grow their business at scale. We drive traffic to clients through digital channels including Google, Meta and others. Relationships within the online advertising ecosystem will give you a head start.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement country-level marketing strategy
  • Promote company brand, build relationships with key stakeholders, and negotiate partnerships with vendors
  • Close sales of digital advertising services to target audience of B2C ecommerce brands and digital product vendors
  • Assist with brand positioning and messaging to suit local market
  • Manage in-country operations of the business
  • Assist international senior leadership to recruit top talent in this new market
  • Guide and mentor the sales team focused on Nigeria

Requirements:

  • Thorough understanding of the sales cycle, experience in sales planning, and implementation of market strategy
  • Track record of sales achievements against targets
  • Digitally proficient with knowledge of social media, search & programmatic advertising
  • “Hunter” mentality, skilled at finding and connecting with new customers and vendor contacts, including cold calling, online and in-person networking
  • Outstanding oral and written communication in order to represent Everythm’s solutions
  • Excellent negotiating skills
  • Results-oriented analytical thinker
  • A natural leader who inspires and motivates those around them
  • Self-motivated with excellent problem-solving skills to thrive in a dynamic startup environment
  • Comfortable working with a distributed team across time zones
  • Achieved Senior Secondary Certificate of Education, with a Degree or tertiary education, preferred
  • A Nigerian Citizen

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing relationships within the ad-tech ecosystem, including major players (Meta, Google), programmatic vendors and local agencies
  • Track record of personal leadership and managing a successful sales team
  • Experience launching new business or product in your local market
