Job Description

  • 1. Map existing IM initiatives and CSO capacity development programmes in Chad focusing on humanitarian, development or peace and having the potential to connect to the iMMAP CSO mapping exercise;
  • 2. Based on a standard project research methodology, conduct an analysis of the CSO landscape (including a mapping of existing programmes targeting CSO capacities) in the Lake Region and Hajder-Lamis Region using a range of research methodologies including interviews, focus group discussions, workshops. This activity will include consultation with national and sub-national authorities and travel to the target areas may be required;
  • 3. Facilitate the consultation with national and local authorities and local CSOs to ensure acceptance of and participation to the different phases of data collection and analysis;
  • 4. Oversee and participate in an extensive field data collection exercise to profile CSOs in the target areas. Data collection will include the use of online and offline mobile collection tools;
  • 5. Train teams of data collectors, verify accuracy of data, compile data in a regional database;
  • 6. Represent iMMAP in country and regional humanitarian/development/peace fora as needed.
