Instrumentation and solid-state and microprocessor-based control equipment, including plant communications, equipment, programmable controllers, distributive control systems, generator excitation equipment, battery chargers, and semiconductor devices, must be inspected, and tested, maintained, repaired, cleaned, and calibrated.
Switches, photo eyes, proximity sensors, pushbuttons, contractors, motor starters, transmitters, etc. should all be repaired or replaced as necessary.
Install control and measuring devices on new or existing industrial machinery.
Use a variety of test tools, such as recorders, computers, control and tuning modules, PC-based software analyzer programs, oscilloscopes, data analyzers, logistic test tools, analog, and digital multi-meters, meggers, and other tools, when conducting tests to spot issues and keep equipment up to performance standards.
