Job Description

Expected deliverables

1 – Two deliverables are expected:

  • A key or hard drive carrying a selection of 100 photos (at least 20 of each thematic) of high resolution with feet of the photos;

  • Photos feet (titles and comments) for all photos in a separate Word document.

2 – Technical characteristics of deliverables:

  • The size of the images will be at least 4000×3000 pixels, in 300 DPI,

  • Photos must be saved in JPEG format,

  • The proposed works must not have been the subject of a montage of several shots.

NB: The photographer will use his own equipment (camera, software, equipment and supplies, etc.)

7. Profile of the international consultant and required qualifications

The consultant sought must have the following skills:

  • Have a degree in communication, photojournalism, photographic art or equivalent,

  • Have a professional experience of at least 5 years as a professional photographer or image reporter,

  • Have at least 5 similar experiences carried out for the benefit of national or international organizations, governmental or non-governmental, ideally within the framework of development projects / programs (works related to priority themes, cited in the FRAMEWORK OF THE MISSION section of the consultancy will be an asset),

  • Have organizational skills, creativity, versatility and a very good interpersonal and communication skills,

  • Mastery of image editing and photo editing software,

  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines,

  • Good oral and editorial skills in French,

  • Being able to strictly meet deadlines,

  • Have a sense of detail,

  • Adhere to HI’s values, institutional policies and code of conduct.

8. Method of payment

The total service is 25 days. The days are to be defined in accordance with the delivery schedule.

The payment terms are as follows:

  • 50% upon signing

  • 50% upon submission of the final version of the deliverables validated by the Contractor

9. Roles and Responsibilities

A. Sponsor: Humanity & Inclusion (HI), leader of the consortium

  • Select and recruit the professional photographer;

  • Organizes briefing and debriefing meetings with members of the consortium and the DUE;

  • Will make available to the consultant the documentation and information necessary for the production of the expected supports;
