Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

– To provide technical support; answering support queries either onsite or via phone or email.

– To take ownership of user problems and be proactive when dealing with user issues.

– To log all calls on the call logging system and maintain full documentation.

– Respond to enquiries from clients and help them resolve any hardware or software problems.

– Support users in the use of Computer equipment by providing necessary training and advice.

– Troubleshooting & Problem Solving of Workstation related problems

– Maintaining Asset Register of all IT equipment in IS Workshop and Department

– Implement, managing and maintaining Workstations

– Implementing & Support of MS O365 products

– Installation and Support of Network & Local Printers

– Required to work long hours from time to time

– Videoconference experience support can be a good plus

ESSENTIAL SKILLS:

Minimum 2 years hands on experience as deskside/Onsite support/local IT engineer

                ∙ Experience in Providing Hands & feet Support for Network and Datacenter Equipment's/Devices

                ∙ Knowledge on Microsoft Operating System installation(Win 7 & Win10) and troubleshooting skills

                ∙ Knowledge in troubleshooting MS office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.)

                ∙ Knowledge on desktop support knowledge including hardware, software, and networking concepts

                ∙ Knowledge skills in Desktops, Workstations, Notebooks and Printers and Handhelds

                ∙ Basic understanding of Audio/Video equipment and conference room setup

                ∙ User account creation for Active Directory, Exchange Mailboxes, Distribution lists

                ∙ Remote desktop connectivity applications like SMS, Bomgar, WebEx, Live Meeting, and Windows Native tools tool. Escalations

                ∙ Troubleshoot and assist end users with mobile device setup, activations and performance issues.

                ∙ Handheld – IOS (Blackberry, Android optional) support knowledge

                ∙ Strong Customer service skills

                ∙ Strong discipline, ability to work in organized environment, follow set of different and sometimes complex company policies and regulations
