- Installation and maintenance of operating environments
- Monitoring operating environments
- Implementation of Data Center solution
- Maintenance of existing staff data center solutions
- Provide front-line primary technical support to clients
- Monitoring system performance and troubleshooting issues
- Ensuring security and efficiency of IT infrastructure
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models
- Assisting the infrastructure team with escalated issues and serving as a valuable resource
- Provide support for staff as needed on related issues.
- Manage end users
- Implement, manage, maintain, test and document disaster recovery environment
- Manage IT compliance and standards by adhering and contributing to processes, policies, and tools within the company
- Provide input and act as a resource for related technical infrastructure projects
- Perform system upgrades including service packs, patches, hot fixes, and security configurations
- Proactively engaging with clients in other to provide dependable and reliable solutions
- Reporting organization’s infrastructure status by gathering and prioritizing information and managing projects
- Investigate and resolve problems for services within compute platform
- Liaise with vendors and other IT personnel for problem resolution
- Other duties as may be assigned by your supervisor and management
- Perform continuous research on current and emerging infrastructure technologies and tools
- Perform hands-on fixes, including software/hardware install and upgrade, implementing backup solutions and configuring systems and applications
- Identify and learn appropriate software and hardware used and supported by the organization
- Support services for Microsoft related technologies: Windows 2012- 2019, Office 365, MS-SQL, SharePoint, Exchange, OneDrive, Microsoft clustering and Teams
- Provide escalated support services for virtualization technologies: VMware vSphere/ESXI, Microsoft Hyper-V, Nutanix, etc.
- Provide escalated support services for backup and recovery solutions Acronis, Veeam, Quest, Commvault etc.
- Provide escalated support services for storage solutions SAN, NAS, and DAS.
- Provide escalated support services for Server Platforms; Dell EMC, IBM, HPE, CISCO etc.
- Provide escalated support services for operating systems Microsoft, Linux/Unix KVM etc.
- Participate in on-call rotation
- Responsible patching, deployments, re-imaging, and buildouts of both desktop and corporate systems.
- Provide technical support for both end users and corporate systems like Active Directory, Office 365, and our in-house built systems.
- Compliance to Information Security Policies
- Maintenance of I.T Asset
Job Specification
- University degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or other related courses or numerate disciplines.
- MSc will be an added Advantage
- Professional IT Certifications, such as: ITIL, CCNP, Microsoft MCP, MCSA, or MCSE, RHEL, VMware VCP, Veeam, and ISO/IEC 27001 Lead Implementer
- Experience with ISMS based on ISO/IEC 27001, by utilizing PECB’s IMS2 Methodology and other best practices
- Support an organization in operating, maintaining, and continually improving an ISMS based on ISO/IEC 27001
- Technical experience with Windows Server including roles/features such as IIS, RDS, along with Active Directory
- Familiar with scripting language such as PowerShell
- Experience with AD, SharePoint, Skype/Teams, Exchange, and Office 365 migrations Analytical and problem-solving ability
- Working knowledge and experience working with Office 365, Azure, AWS, NSX, VMWare vSphere ESXI, Dell EMC, Cisco, Sophos, HPE and IBM systems.
- Experience with proper system cable labeling and management
- Identifying compute solution opportunities
- Experience with end-user support and/or software testing.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience.
