Job Description

Responsibilities

  1. Installing and configuring computer hardware, operating systems, and software
  2. Computer systems and networks must be monitored and maintained.
  3. Take staff or clients through a series of actions, either in person or over the phone, to assist with system setup or problem resolution.
  4. Troubleshoot system and network issues by diagnosing and correcting hardware or software flaws.
  5. Parts should be replaced as needed.
  6. Provide assistance, such as procedural documentation and relevant reports.
  7. Participates in the development, implementation, and maintenance of policies, objectives, and short- and long-term IT planning, with a focus on advocating for the needs of the supported area(s); implements tracking and evaluation programs to aid in the achievement of established goals.
  8. Examine vendor contracts and participates in IT purchases (hardware, software, and services) to ensure that solutions are deployed effectively and in accordance with user needs.
  9. To repair a problem or set up a system, use diagrams and written instructions.
  10. Assist in the deployment of new applications.
  11. Create new user accounts and profiles, and resolve password issues.
  12. Respond to call-outs within agreed-upon time limits.
  13. Work on a task indefinitely until it is completed (or referral to third parties, if appropriate).
  14. Prioritize and manage multiple open cases at the same time.
  15. Establish a good working relationship with customers and other professionals, such as software developers, as soon as possible.
  16. New technology should be tested and evaluated.
  17. Check the electrical safety of computer equipment.
