    Job Description

    • Must have the ability to type documents with little or no error, either from written scripts or as instructed by a superior officer.
    • She must have good command of written and spoken English.
    • Must be very conve4sanr with basic computer applications such as MS-word, Excel, power point, coral draw etc.
    • She must have basic secretarial skills like filing shelfing of files and textbooks, binding documents, etc.
    • Must have a fair understanding of Abuja streets and major landmarks within the FCT.
    • Must have a good knowledge of office management.
    • Must have the ability to work as a team.
    • Must have self motivation and be capable of initiating fresh ideas.

    Main Duties and Responsibilities

    • Typing documents, and updating information online.
    • Receives client, calls, record callers and their details.
    • Supervising the general condition of the office, and ensuring that documents, files and items are placed properly.
    • File documents at various courts, receive mails and court processes, and keeping dates and scheduling of cases.
    • Resume on time to supervise cleaners and ensure the files for the day’s cases are brought out.
    • Bank related transactions.
    • Print, bind and arrange documents to be filed.
    • Send mails through courier companies etc.
    • Coordinates flow of clients and visitors within the office.
    • Ensures coordination and flow of information to the principal Legal Adviser as well as other relevant departments within the EXCEL CHAMBERS.

    Education and Experience Required

    • OND or a Degree or its equivalent (HND)
    • Studied secretarial studies, mass communication, English and literary studies, English education, and related courses.
    • 2 – 3 years relevant work experience, preferably in a law firm, or computer instructor and school.

    Desired Profile and Skills:

    • Proven secretarial and managerial skills; able to think through instructions.
    • Excellent spoken and written English is an asset.
    • Good writing and oral communication skills
    • Computer literacy (competency in Microsoft Office and legal research databases)
    • Understanding of the work and role of the EXCEL CHAMBERS in Nigeria.
