Job description
A successful logistics officer oversees supply chain operations and ensures the efficient and cost-effective distribution of good. He is able to resolve issues relating to distribution.
Duties
Ensuring the safe and timely pick-up and delivery of shipments. Organizing and managing inventory, storage, and transportation. Monitoring shipments, costs, timelines, and productivity. Liaising and negotiating with suppliers and retailers. Overseeing all supply chain operations. Analyzing and optimizing logistical procedures.
Skills and Qualifications
OND/HND/BSC in business administration
logistics or related field
Working knowledge of legal regulations and ISO requirements. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and logistics software. Good management and organizational skills. Strong problem-solving skills.
