Responsibilities

To accomplish the goals of the agreed-upon sales plan, make cold calls to new prospective shippers and carriers.
creates personal sales strategies. carries out ongoing training to improve one's sales abilities.
receives customer requests by phone or email, examines them, finds the best person to offer the information or provides it themselves, and then routes the request to them.
analyzes offers and replies to quote requests.
uses the company's CRM system to search customer records and gives the sales manager and team members the relevant data and/or reports.
sets and meets daily, weekly, and monthly sales targets.
accurately records sales activities and notes in the company CRM system.
