Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Representative and under the technical supervision of the Program Officer, the consultant will assist the WHO Representation Office in Niger to develop and finalize the analysis of the inclusion of gender, equity and human rights carried out on behalf of the Office of the WHO Representation in Niger by carrying out specific tasks, namely: 1) Develop a work plan to advance the analysis of the inclusion of gender, equity and human rights carried out on behalf of the Office of the WHO Representation in Niger within the allotted timeframe and as part of a consultation or feedback process;
2) Identify and map all available data sources (quantitative and qualitative), using agreed indicators or WHO / United Nations datasets, as appropriate, based on the agreed template for inclusion analysis gender, equity and human rights;
3) Identify difficulties in obtaining qualitative data or knowledge to finalize the model, eg access and authorization for use granted to another institution, and put in place a process to overcome these difficulties;
4) Work with the relevant teams at the WHO Representation Office in Niger and with the Ministry of Health, including, but not only with the teams working on the response to COVID-19, on health care primary health and health information systems and work, as appropriate, with other public institutions (for example, the National Bureau of Statistics) or with agencies of the United Nations system
