VACANCY

A leading IGR Consultant is currently looking to fill the role of Operations Officer. Our firm engages in the provision of Internally Generated Revenue (IGR) Advisory Services, Tax Management & Consulting, Information System & Technology, and Management Consultancy Services.

Position: Operations Officer

Location: Ibadan

JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a suitable candidate for the position of Operations Officer. As an Operations Officer, you will be responsible for closely assisting the Operations Manager in his/her job functions

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Have thorough knowledge of the MDAs, their revenue collection process as well as an understanding of how that impacts the operations and objectives of the organization
  • Study the operational process of the MDA and frequently advice on how to improve their operation in a more effective way at minimal cost to improving their revenue.
  • Work with the Operations Manager to proactively and promptly solve conflicts and address issues that could occur between the organization and the MDAs
  • Reach out to clients and tax payers via phone call; verifying information regarding their account
  • Work with the enumeration and distribution team to continually expand the tax net through continuous enumeration of tax payers, taxpayer’s assets, effectively classifying them into sectors, distributing demand notices to them and collecting revenue ultimately.
  • Keep appropriate records of tax payers served, payment history, and balance for use at a glance.
  • Ensure record of payment and other pertinent tax payers’ information such as addresses and phone numbers are properly kept
  • Perform other other task/assignment as directed by the Operations Manager and MD.

Requirement/Qualification

  • Bachelor's degree in any Social Science discipline. Candidates with ICAN should not bother to apply.
  • 3 years of work experience in a relevant role and/or similar organization.
  • Experience in a logistics company is an added advantage
  • Knowledge of Government’s IGR administration and collection.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong organization and analytical skills.
  • Good customer service skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage and handle multiple tasks.
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail.
