Job Description

  • Develop objective and punctual planning of project activities, in collaboration with the head of mission and his entire team;
  • Guarantee operational, financial and programmatic management in collaboration with team members;
  • Coordinate with partners and stakeholders (humanitarian actors, administrative authorities), with representatives of donors and other actors present in the field;
  • Coordinate the Project in collaboration with team members through the monitoring of joint activities;
  • Ensure compliance with the work plan and propose readjustments if necessary;
  • Monitor and evaluate activities through and update monitoring tools) in collaboration with the Coordination of the Mission;
  • Formulate narrative and financial reports to be submitted to the donor (OFDA);
  • Contributor to the monthly update of information to be shared with the relevant clusters;
  • Ensure the timely submission of the monthly internal activity report to the organization including the PAT monitoring and weekly Sitreps;
  • Ensure an adequate line of communication (internal and external) under the supervision and with the Coordination of the Mission;
  • Quickly and precisely report any difficulty encountered in the implementation of the project to the Coordination of the Mission and contribute to the search for solutions;
  • Participating in sectoral coordination meetings at the capital level;
  • Contributor to security management according to established approaches and tools to be used in the missio

    Administrative management of the project

  • Ensure appropriate management of project funds (update the project financial planning on a monthly basis);
  • Monitor project expenses in collaboration with the administration;
  • Propose budgetary readjustments to the administration;
  • Liaise with the logistics team for project purchases, in order to ensure the correct application of INTERSOS and the donor purchasing procedures;

    Human Resource Management

  • Contributor in the selection and recruitment of national project staff as needed
  • Ensure the effective and objective evaluation of the performance of the staff under its management every 3 months and the final evaluation;
  • Supervise and manage the project team and ensure continuous training in collaboration with the Mission Coordination
  • Knowledge capitalization and management
  • Ensure the capitalization of experiences and data obtained within the framework of the project;
  • Identify needs and propose new potential programs or activities to be implemented in the field;
  • Transmit to the Mission Coordination all the photo and video documentation of the activities, as well as all the significant information on the intervention area and the project activities to feed the needs of visibility, fundraising and communication

    Security management and logistics tasks

  • Ensures that INTERSOS security procedures are correctly observed and implemented by its staff informs, when necessary and without delay, the head of mission of security-related issues; make recommendations and implement agreed-upon actions, as required;
  • Keeps INTERSOS safety rules up to date;
  • Ensuring the use, storage and maintenance corrects all assets used by INTERSOS;
  • Supervisor and give instructions to the base logistics team, so that the team can function appropriately; with the support of expatriates and / or local logisticians, is responsible for: the INTERSOS sub-office in Bol
  • Informs the head of mission every month of the situation of all assets and logistics.
  • Manages base support staff (including logistics, cleaning, drivers)
  • He maintains daily contacts with all stakeholders (local authorities, international and United Nations cooperation agencies, NGOs) and represents INTERSOS at the level of the Bol and Bagasola Bureau. However, other expatriates can also speak to stakeholders for technical and project issues.
