Provide consultative support to senior business managers in managing regulatory risk, often in complex and high profile activities.
Coordinate all interactions with the regulators at the different layers of the organisation to provide assurance on the Group’s commitment to delivering an appropriate internal model for the enlarged Group
Effectively challenge the presentation and communication of all initiatives that require interaction with the Group’s regulators to ensure they support and do not impede the Group’s strategy
Building close working relationships, gaining credibility and providing an appropriate level of review, challenge and influence in business areas when these areas require different types of discussions and have different priorities.
Managing a variety of regulatory risk related tasks and activities concurrently with minimal support, meeting expectations on agreed deliverables and timescales.
Continuously maintaining and developing required Group knowledge and applying this in conjunction with significant business awareness in order to provide review, challenge and advice.
Meeting deadlines and quality standards as defined by Manager
Proactively keep abreast of regulatory changes and legislative updates to support the Phoenix Group
Will challenge the design and performance of existing controls and regulatory relationship processes at management level and recommend improvements where appropriate.
