Examine security threats and risks and prepare accurate reports on developments and issues that could disrupt WFP operations, to ensure that information is gathered correctly and communicated to security officials for facilitate reporting and decision making.
Examine security-related information (security breaches, securing daily activities, etc.) and use institutional or local information management tools to perform detailed analyzes and reports, so that relevant stakeholders can access data easily.
Liaise and coordinate with local administration, security and law enforcement authorities, with communities, with security personnel from the United Nations and non-governmental organizations and with others actors, in order to facilitate access to populations to carry out programs in satisfactory security conditions and to mitigate the risks to which staff and other resources are exposed.
Plan and coordinate the activities of staff during field missions and carry out safety assessments relevant to the area of responsibility in question, in order to contribute to the safe and effective implementation of programs.
Analyze the security assessment reports produced as a result of field missions and present detailed risk mitigation recommendations, in order to support the analysis of the security situation and facilitate the decisions.
