Location: London, UK and Nigeria

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Manager to oversee and manage all aspects of the shipping and logistics operations between our offices in London, UK and Nigeria. The Shipping Manager will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing shipping activities to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods between the two locations. Duties include negotiating freight rates, managing transportation contracts, tracking shipments, resolving shipping issues, and coordinating customs clearance procedures. Additionally, the Shipping Manager will be responsible for supervising a team of shipping and logistics personnel, providing training and guidance as needed.

Requirements:

  • Knowledge in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5 years work experience
  • Knowledge of international shipping regulations and customs procedures
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing circumstances
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and shipping software
  • English language
