JOB SUMMARY:
Delon Jobs is helping an insurance company in Nigeria to hire an intermediate-level software developer in Lagos. This position directly supports the business and support teams by creating business or support solutions that automates processes. It also supports all current applications, debugging and fixing bugs, ensures proper understanding of documented Systems Analysis/Design, ensures Systems Analysis/Design (Solutions Architecture, Design and Algorithms) is carried out before Coding/Development, and ensures adequate unit testing of developed solutions
contributes to the development and maintenance of applications to support our business needs. Responsibilities include participating in the evaluation of business requirements; preparing application system specifications; developing, testing, and implementing application solutions; performing maintenance and support tasks on existing systems and writing technical documentation in support of assigned projects. Gross salary is between N4m and N6m per annum. Please read additional requirements below before applying. | Duties & Responsibilities |
| · Participate in Business Solutions Development projects
· Converts, using pre-defined standards, user or Functional requirements into Solution Architecture, Design and Algorithms that will be used to develop application · Participate in reviewing development documents · Perform research and development on Software development best practice · Perform backup of application source codes using source control · Participate in reviewing and re-developing current solutions · Develop programs to integrate software components · Ensure optimal translation of Algorithms and Design into program codes · Ensure the right and most effective design pattern is used for development · Perform other duties as assigned by Unit Head, Business Solutions Development, Departmental Head of Solutions Development & Analytic and the CIO, ITD |

| · Quality and timeliness of responsiveness to problems, operational efficiency/ Business Support must be up to 90% Adherence to SLA
· Level of understanding, adherence to, and implementation of Project Charter · The number of various integrated/automated processes signed off · Team spirit and Attitude to work · Measurement to Key Performance Indicator |
| Educational Qualifications |
| Minimum Educational Qualifications:
· University Degree in Computer Science/ Engineering Post Graduate Qualifications: · Not Applicable Professional Qualifications: · Secure Coding (Added advantage) |
| Previous Work Experience Requirements |
| · Minimum of 2 to 4 years cognate experience in a technical role with experience in end-end Software Development Life Cycle & Agile delivery methodology |
| Required Skills/Competencies |
| · Basic Knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian Banking and Insurance System
· Foundation skills in SQL Server/Oracle/MySQL databases
· Basic knowledge of client server architecture (MVC, MVVM, Micro-services) · Good knowledge on API development and API management platform and library e.g. (WSO2, Azure API management and Ocelot) · Good Analytical and Problem-solving skills · Good communication skills (written and oral) · Good Team Player · Basic Presentation skills |
