 SUMMARY:

DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Software Engineer(ABO to BO) for a tier-1 bank in Nigeria to provide full stack web development,gather user requirements, write code using an agile methodology, andcontinuously update the back-end code of the product, work in an experiencedsoftware design team, assist with all functions of software coding and design,learn codebase, gather user data and respond to requests from senior softwareengineers, ability to learn new technologies quickly, and capable of working ina team environment. The candidate must have good knowledge of coding languagesincluding C#, HTML5, CSS, and JavaScript, familiaritywith database technology such as MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB, basicprogramming experience, ability to implement software security measures (OWASPTop 10), and good working knowledge of version control system using gitflow.He/She must have Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science,or a related quantitative discipline, 3-5 years experience in programminglanguages (e.g., Python, Javascript, Java, C++, C#), databases, data structuresand algorithms, knowledge of databases and operating systems, as well as excellentbasic knowledge about Information Technology from both a software and hardwareperspective. Key Responsibilities

• Assisting lead engineer with all aspects of softwaredesign and coding.
• Attending and contributing to software deliverymeetings.
• Learning the codebase and improving your codingskills.
• Writing and maintaining code.
• Working on software bug fixes.
• Monitoring the technical performance of internalsystems.
• Gathering information from consumers about programfunctionality.
• Writing reports.
• Conducting development tests.
• Perform other duties as assigned by LeadSoftware Engineer.

Skills and Competencies

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

• Knowledge of coding languages including C#, HTML5, CSS, andJavaScript.
• Familiaritywith database technology such as MSSQL, MySQL, Oracle and MongoDB.
• Basic programming experience.
• Ability to implement software security measures (OWASP Top10)
• Good working knowledge of version control system usinggitflow.
• Ability to learn new software and technologies quickly.
• Ability to manage codebase on a version control.
• Software testing anddebugging
• Knowledge of Agile/Scrum projectdelivery formats

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology,Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline

• Knowledge of databases andoperating systems
