Position Overview:

We are currently seeking a dynamic and experienced Store Manager to join our team at Jewels Leading Lights Academy. As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the operations of the school's store, managing inventory, coordinating sales activities, and providing exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and efficient functioning of the store, maximizing sales revenue, and enhancing the overall shopping experience for our school community. Your leadership, organizational skills, and customer-focused approach will contribute to the success and reputation of our school.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Store Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of store operations, including inventory management, product procurement, merchandising, and sales transactions. Develop and implement store policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure compliance with school regulations and standards.
  2. Inventory Control: Manage inventory levels, stock replenishment, and product assortment to meet customer demand and sales objectives. Conduct regular inventory counts, reconcile discrepancies, and track stock movements accurately using inventory management systems.
  3. Sales and Marketing: Develop sales strategies and promotional campaigns to drive store traffic, increase sales revenue, and achieve sales targets. Identify opportunities for cross-selling, upselling, and promotional offers to maximize customer spending and loyalty.
  4. Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service to students, parents, and staff by greeting customers, assisting with inquiries, and resolving issues or concerns promptly and courteously. Train and supervise store staff to deliver superior customer service and uphold brand standards.
  5. Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise store staff, including sales associates, cashier, and store assistants. Set performance expectations, provide ongoing feedback and coaching, and conduct performance evaluations to support staff development and motivation.
  6. Financial Management: Prepare and manage the store budget, monitor expenses, and analyze financial performance to optimize profitability and cost-effectiveness. Monitor sales trends, identify variances, and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve financial goals.
  7. Health and Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, sanitation standards, and security protocols to maintain a safe and hygienic shopping environment for customers and staff. Implement measures to prevent theft, loss, or damage to store property and merchandise.
  8. Administrative Duties: Perform administrative tasks, such as maintaining records, preparing reports, and managing store documentation. Handle paperwork related to purchases, sales, inventory transfers, and vendor contracts with accuracy and attention to detail.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Retail Management, or a related field. Master's degree or professional certification (e.g., Certified Retail Manager) is a plus.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in retail management, preferably in a school or educational setting.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software, point-of-sale (POS) systems, and Microsoft Office suite.
  • Customer-focused mindset with a passion for delivering exceptional service.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and multitask in a fast-paced environment.
