We are looking to hire a full-time and part-time Waitress(FEMALE). A waitress’s responsibility lies in taking customers’ orders anddelivering their food and drinks to them professionally. The ideal waitressuplifts the dining experience for customers. We are looking for someone whowill have the patience, personality, and perseverance to thrive in this role.
Responsibilities:
- Greetand escort customers to their tables
- Presentmenu and provide detailed information when asked (e.g., about portions,ingredients, or potential food allergies)
- Preparetables by setting up linens, silverware, and glasses
- Informcustomers about the day’s specials
- Offermenu recommendations upon request
- Up-selladditional products when appropriate
- Takeaccurate food and drinks orders, using a POS ordering software, order slips, orby memorization
- Communicateorder details to the Kitchen Staff
- Servefood and drink orders
- Checkdishes and kitchenware for cleanliness and presentation and report any problems
- Arrangetable settings and maintain a tidy dining area
- Deliverchecks and collect bill payments
- Carrydirty plates, glasses, and silverware to kitchen for cleaning
- Meetwith restaurant staff to review daily specials, changes on the menu, and servicespecifications for reservations (e.g., parties)
- Followall relevant health department regulations
- Provideexcellent customer service to guests
Requirements:
- Applicant must reside on Lagos Island
- Provenwork experience as a Waitress
- Hands-onexperience with cash register and ordering information systems (e.g. POS)
- Attentivenessand patience for customers
- Excellent customer service skills
- Strongorganizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to perform well in afast-paced environment
- Activelistening and effective communication skills
- Teamspirit
- Flexibilityto work in shifts
- Mustbe FEMALE
