Application and Database Manage (ADM0126)

DelonJobs is seeking to hire an Application and Database Manager for a leading Insurance Company in Lagos, Nigeria.

The ideal candidate will analyze business requirements, implement ERP solutions, and manage databases. They will handle the development, testing, improvement, and maintenance of new and existing databases to ensure effective data retrieval for users.

Interested candidates must possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field with at least 7-10 years of experience in ERP implementation, business analysis, application support, data management, or related field.

Duties & Responsibilities:

Business & Process Analysis

• Analyze and improve business processes; document requirements and process maps.

• Identify process-improvement opportunities across departments.

ERP & Solution Design

• Analyze and configure ERP systems to meet business needs.

• Design solutions involving process changes, system configurations, and custom development.

Collaboration & Requirements Gathering

• Work with stakeholders, end-users, and service providers on requirements, incidents, upgrades, and deployments.

• Gather requirements through interviews and workshops; recommend database tools and protocols.

Testing & Quality Assurance

• Develop and execute test plans to validate system functionality and ensure data security and integrity.

Training & Support

• Create training materials and manuals; provide user support for ERP and business applications.

• Define and document policies, standards, and operating procedures.

Project Management & Continuous Improvement

• Support project planning and execution to meet timelines and budgets.

• Recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Database Administration

• Administer MS SQL and other banking databases; ensure backups, performance, security, and patching.

• Resolve database issues and ensure high availability and data integrity.

Application Support

• Ensure availability of business applications; provide 1st/2nd-level support.

• Manage incidents, support deployments, and maintain uptime for all business applications.

Key Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field.

• Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in ERP implementation, business analysis, application support, data management or related field.

• Experience with ERP systems, such as Turnquest, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, or similar.

• Strong understanding of business operations, processes, and systems.

• Experience with project management methodologies and tools.

• Experience with data analysis tools, such as Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.

• Experience with business process modeling tools, such as BPMN and Visio.

• Experience with ERP systems, such as Turnquest, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics, Linux OS or similar.
