Job Description

DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) for a Financial Company in VI Lagos, Nigeria. The CFO would fundamentally design and implement financial systems, strategies, and structures that maximize value creation, ensure efficient resource allocation, and safeguard the organization’s long-term sustainability. The Group CFO will act as the cornerstone for aligning financial operations with business priorities, fostering innovation, and building capabilities that drive organizational growth.

 

Key Performance Indicators (Responsibilities section as written in file): 
i. Financial Strategy: Define and execute financial strategies by analyzing the business model, ensuring alignment with the group’s vision and market realities. 
ii. Capital Allocation: Develop a streamlined approach to optimize resource allocation, focusing on measurable returns and prioritizing high-impact investments. 
iii. Investment Management: Craft an investment philosophy rooted in data-driven decision-making and scenario analysis to manage portfolios and divestitures. 
iv. Business Processes and Controls: Deconstruct existing processes, identify inefficiencies, and build financial controls to eliminate redundancies and enhance transparency. 
v. Group Performance: Establish a performance culture by setting clear financial KPIs, ensuring consistent monitoring and applying feedback loops for continuous improvement. 
vi. Growth Opportunities: Investigate Group growth opportunities, then architect solutions to exploit these gaps. 
vii. Risk Management: Design a risk framework by breaking down potential vulnerabilities components and building robust safeguards. 
viii. Team Building and Development: Build a high-performance finance team by designing roles, training paths, and systems that foster accountability, creativity, and ownership. 
ix. Digital Transformation: Rethink finance workflows using technology as a multiplier, automating repetitive tasks and enabling real-time decision-making. 
x. Treasury Management: Redesign treasury management practices to ensure liquidity, optimize capital structure, and manage exposure to macroeconomic shifts.

i. Achievement of long-term financial stability and alignment of financial goals with organizational strategy. 
ii. Percentage reduction in costs through process optimization and automation. 
iii. Return on capital employed (ROCE) and cash conversion cycle improvements. 
iv. Identification and successful execution of high-ROI growth projects. 
v. Reduction in financial risk exposure and enhancement of risk-adjusted returns. 
vi. Employee retention rate within the finance team and measurable skill enhancements post-training. 
vii. Successful implementation of digital finance systems and tangible process efficiencies.

Requirements

Educational Qualification: 

A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or any related discipline 

Advanced degrees, such as an MBA, are preferred but should demonstrate a focus on problem-solving and strategic leadership 

Professional Qualification: 

ICAN or ACCA or CFA 

Experience Required: 

Minimum of 10 -15 years, with progressive experience in finance leadership roles
