CREDIT/FINANCE LEAD

Pharmaceutical Marketing & Distribution | Ibadan (Head Office) | Full-Time

SUMMARY

We are seeking a strategic and disciplined Credit/Finance Lead to design, own, and drive the organization’s full credit risk framework across our B2B portfolio.

This is a mission-critical leadership role responsible for balancing growth with risk control approving quality credits, protecting portfolio health, and driving strong collections performance.

If you have a lender’s mindset conservative on risk, analytical with data, firm on recovery, and decisive under pressure this role is for you.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Lead and manage the company’s end-to-end credit approval process
• Develop and enforce credit policies, risk controls, and portfolio monitoring systems
• Oversee SME credit assessment (financial statement analysis, cashflow analysis, reference verification)
• Drive collections discipline and improve default rates
• Monitor portfolio health metrics (PAR, delinquency, NPL, collection rates)
• Ensure zero tolerance for policy breaches and unauthorized exposures
• Supervise collections function and recovery strategy
• Provide real-time risk insights to executive management

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Banking or related field
• 5–7+ years’ experience in credit risk, portfolio management, or commercial lending
• Supervisory experience in credit/collections roles
• Strong experience in SME lending and structured credit
• Deep understanding of Nigerian credit systems (direct debit mandates, trade credit)
• Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, scenario modeling, data validation)
• ICAN / ACCA / CFA (or progress toward certification) is an advantage

Strong analytical judgment with firmness in enforcement
