Role Purpose
- The Head of IT / IT Manager is responsible for the full technology operations of the business across all branches, ensuring systems are reliable, secure, and aligned with business growth.
- This is a hands-on leadership role, not a supervisory-only position.
- The ideal candidate must be technically strong, capable of executing tasks directly, and leading by example while building and managing a high-performing IT team.
- The role requires deep involvement in retail systems, infrastructure, and ERP (especially Odoo) to support sales, inventory, finance, and operational efficiency across all locations.
Key Responsibilities
IT Operations & Infrastructure (All Branches):
- Ensure 100% uptime of all critical systems across the 9 branches (POS, network, internet, CCTV, servers).
- Manage and maintain:
- POS systems
- Network infrastructure (routers, switches, firewalls)
- Internet connectivity and redundancy
- CCTV and security systems
- Provide rapid response troubleshooting for system failures.
- Implement standard IT structures across all branches.
ERP Management (Odoo – Critical Role):
- Lead the implementation, customization, and optimization of Odoo ERP.
- Manage key modules:
- Inventory
- Sales / POS
- Accounting
- HR (if applicable)
- Troubleshoot system issues and coordinate upgrades.
- Work with management to improve business processes using ERP automation.
- Train staff on proper system usage.
Hands-On Technical Execution:
- Personally handle critical technical tasks when required:
- System setup and deployment
- Network configuration
- Hardware installation and repairs
- Software troubleshooting
- Step in during emergencies — not just escalate.
- Set the standard for technical competence within the team.
IT Team Leadership:
- Recruit, train, and manage IT support staff across branches.
- Assign responsibilities and monitor performance.
- Establish clear SOPs, response times, and accountability structures.
- Mentor team members to improve technical skills and professionalism.
Data & Systems Integrity:
- Ensure accuracy and integrity of business data across all systems.
- Implement data backup and disaster recovery systems.
- Monitor system usage to prevent errors, fraud, or misuse.
Security & Risk Management:
- Enforce IT security policies across all locations.
- Protect systems from:
- Unauthorized access
- Data breaches
- Internal misuse
- Manage user access levels and permissions.
Vendor & Technology Management:
- Manage relationships with:
- Internet providers
- Hardware vendors
- Software providers
- Ensure cost-effective procurement and maintenance.
Reporting & Strategy:
- Provide regular IT performance reports to management.
- Recommend improvements to:
- Reduce downtime
- Improve efficiency
- Scale operations
- Align IT strategy with business growth plans.
