Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and creative UI/UX Designer to join our dynamic team at Afrimash. As a UI/UX Designer, you will play a key role in designing intuitive, user-friendly, and visually appealing interfaces for our e-commerce platform and digital products. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand user needs, conduct user research, and translate insights into innovative design solutions that enhance the overall user experience and drive business objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. User Research and Analysis: Conduct user research, surveys, and usability studies to understand user behaviors, needs, and preferences. Analyze user feedback, usage data, and market trends to identify opportunities for improving the user experience and informing design decisions.

2. Wireframing and Prototyping: Create wireframes, user flows, and interactive prototypes to visualize design concepts and workflows. Collaborate with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to iterate on designs, gather feedback, and refine user interface elements.

3. UI Design and Branding: Design visually appealing and consistent user interfaces that align with Afrimash's brand identity, style guidelines, and aesthetic principles. Create mockups, style guides, and design assets for web and mobile applications, ensuring pixel-perfect execution and usability across devices.

4. Interaction Design: Define user interactions, animations, and transitions to enhance usability, engagement, and delight. Design intuitive navigation systems, buttons, menus, and controls that guide users through the product journey and facilitate seamless interactions.

5. Accessibility and Inclusivity: Ensure that designs comply with accessibility standards and best practices to accommodate users with disabilities and diverse needs. Implement accessible design principles, color contrast ratios, and assistive technologies to make digital products inclusive and usable by all.

6. Usability Testing and Iteration: Conduct usability testing sessions and user interviews to gather feedback on design prototypes and iterate on design solutions based on user insights. Use qualitative and quantitative data to validate design decisions and prioritize improvements.

7. Collaboration and Communication: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, marketers, and stakeholders, to align design goals with business objectives and project timelines. Communicate design concepts, rationale, and recommendations effectively to stakeholders at all levels.

8. Continuous Learning and Improvement: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in UI/UX design. Participate in design workshops, conferences, and community events to expand your knowledge, skills, and network within the design community.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design, Interaction Design, Human-Computer Interaction, or a related field. Master's degree or equivalent experience is a plus.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in e-commerce or digital product environments.
• Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe XD, Sketch, Figma, or InVision.
• Strong portfolio showcasing your design projects, process, and outcomes.
• Solid understanding of user-centered design principles, usability heuristics, and design thinking methodologies.
• Excellent visual design skills, including typography, color theory, and layout composition.
• Familiarity with front-end development technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript is a plus.
• Effective communication, collaboration, and presentation skills
