Job Description

Summary

  • The Auxiliary Nurse provides basic nursing care and support to patients under the supervision of qualified nurses and medical personnel. The role involves assisting with patient care, maintaining cleanliness, monitoring vital signs, and ensuring patients' comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist patients with personal hygiene, bathing, dressing, and feeding.
  • Monitor and record patients' vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration, and blood pressure).
  • Assist nurses and doctors during examinations and treatments.
  • Administer medications as directed and supervised by qualified medical personnel.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and reports.
  • Ensure patient rooms, beds, and equipment are clean and organized.
  • Assist in moving and transporting patients when necessary.
  • Observe patients' conditions and promptly report any changes to the supervising nurse.
  • Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and their families.
  • Follow infection prevention and control procedures.
  • Ensure compliance with hospital policies and professional standards.

Requirements

Requirements & Qualification

  • Certificate in Auxiliary Nursing from a recognized institution.
  • 1-2 yearsexperience in a hospital or healthcare facility is an added advantage.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work under supervision and as part of a healthcare team.
  • Compassionate, patient-focused, and professional attitude.
  • Basic knowledge of first aid and patient care practices.
