Job Description

Responsibilities:
Facility Maintenance and Operations:

  • Ensure all equipment, utilities, and infrastructure are in proper working condition.
  • Oversee the daily operations and maintenance of the gym facility.
  • Conduct regular inspections of gym equipment, workout areas, locker rooms, and common areas.
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules for gym equipment and facility assets.
  • You shall supervise the cleaners and their jobs and ensure that the facility, including workout areas, and common spaces, are well-maintained and clean.
  • You shall supervise the securities and ensure that they are carrying out their duties diligently.

Health, Safety, and Compliance:

  • Ensure the facility complies with health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Implement and monitor safety procedures within the facility.
  • Ensure emergency equipment and safety measures are functional and accessible.
  • Report and document any incidents, hazards, or maintenance issues.

Cleaning and Housekeeping Oversight:

  • Supervise cleaning staff and ensure high standards of cleanliness across the facility.
  • Monitor cleaning schedules for gym floors, equipment, restrooms, locker rooms, and reception areas.
  • Ensure adequate cleaning supplies and materials are available.

Vendor and Contractor Coordination:

  • Liaise with external vendors and service providers for facility repairs and maintenance.
  • Supervise contractors during maintenance or installation works.
  • Ensure vendors adhere to agreed service standards and timelines.

Inventory and Asset Management:

  • Monitor the condition and usage of gym equipment and facility assets.
  • Track facility supplies and ensure timely replenishment.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, repairs, and equipment servicing.

Member experience Support:

  • Promptly address facility-related complaints or issues raised by members or staff.
  • Ensure the facility environment is welcoming, safe, and conducive for members.

Requirements

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or diploma in Facility Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years experience in facility supervision, preferably within a gym, hospitality, or service environment.
  • Knowledge of facility maintenance, safety procedures, and equipment management.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Experience with management systems or CRM tools is an added advantage.
