About the Role
We are seeking a results-driven and strategic Regional Sales Manager to lead our expansion and market share growth in the Lagos region. With a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar RSM capacity within the Fast-Moving Consumer Durables (FMCD) sector, you will be responsible for driving turnover, managing key distributors, and ensuring the visibility of our home appliance and white goods portfolio.
You must possess a strong understanding of the Lagos terrain and the ability to translate corporate strategy into on-ground execution.
Key Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy & Revenue Growth
- Develop and implement a regional sales plan to achieve volume and value targets for home appliances (fridges, freezers, washing machines, etc.).
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity in the Lagos metroplex to identify new business opportunities.
- Ensure the achievement of primary and secondary sales targets within the assigned region.
2. Distributor & Channel Management
- Manage and develop relationships with key distributors and dealers across Lagos.
- Conduct regular business reviews with channel partners to ensure inventory health, credit compliance, and profitability.
- Resolve channel conflicts and ensure smooth product flow from warehouse to retailers.
3. Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and motivate a team of Area Sales Managers and Sales Representatives.
- Conduct field visits to coach team members on negotiation, merchandising, and closing techniques.
- Foster a high-performance culture focused on execution excellence.
4. Trade Marketing & Visibility
- Ensure brand standards are maintained across all retail touchpoints.
- Coordinate with the trade marketing team to execute in-store promotions, product launches, and visibility drives in key electronics markets (e.g., Alaba International, Computer Village, etc.).
- Monitor the availability of spare parts and after-sales service support in the region.
5. Reporting & Administration
- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports for the management team.
- Manage the regional operating budget and control expenses.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies regarding pricing and credit limits.
