DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Team Lead, Enterprise Risk Management for a leading insurance company in Lagos, Nigeria.
The ideal candidate will be responsible for minimizing risk of loss by defining and ensuring compliance with the approved risk management framework and processes for identification, controlling, managing and reporting operational, underwriting and claims, strategic and reputational risks across all businesses of the GIP.
Interested candidates should possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or a related field with at least 5 years’ experience in operational risk management within the Financial Services Industry , of which at least 3 must have been in the Insurance Sector.
Annual gross salary is between N6,300,000 – N7,200,000.

Duties & Responsibilities
- Establish and maintain an enterprise-wide framework to identify, measure, monitor, and control operational, strategic, and reputational risks.
- Drive implementation of board-approved operational risk action plans and ensure alignment with corporate objectives.
- Identify key business risks arising from strategy, operations, and organizational changes, and set risk tolerance limits.
- Develop and enforce operational risk policies, controls, and mitigation strategies across the company.
- Oversee the operational risk assessment process and promote a strong risk management culture at all levels.
- Coordinate risk monitoring activities, stakeholder surveys, and timely regulatory reporting/renditions.
- Conduct economic capital estimation, stress testing, and risk modelling for strategic and reputational risks.
- Establish and maintain Business Continuity Management (BCM) to support business resilience.
- Implement compliance risk management processes, ensure policy adherence, and investigate control breaches.
- Respond promptly to NFIU/EFCC/NAICOM enquiries and handle regulatory reporting to NFIU.
