Job Responsibilities
- Providing technical leadership and oversight for the teams while setting a high bar for engineering quality;
- Develop and improve on processes and frameworks for product performance;
- Engage with key leaders to drive the vision and overall priorities to deliver quality products;
- Prioritize issues and lead the charge on challenging bugs, when needed
- Communicate and translate vision/strategy to the team executing on functional and business goals for the team;
- Ensures that the architectural direction of an application is in line with the strategic direction of the product;
- Setting quarterly OKRs for the entire department;
- Ensuring the team meets up with their deadline;
- Ensures each member of the team contributes fully in their assigned tasks;
- Handles all departmental issues and resolves conflict;
- Prepares annual strategic plan for the team and ensures they meet their monthly goals;
- Performs code reviews and ensures efficient code engineering;
- Ensures applications are implemented using software engineering best practices;
- Responsible for the stability and reliability of products under his/her purview;
- Creates and enforces processes that improves developer efficiency and productivity;
- Participates in interviewing engineers;
- Provides mentorship for young engineers;
- Manage a broad portfolio of diverse technology projects to provide web, mobile and integration solutions.
Requirements
- A minimum of 7 years of experience as a software engineer with leadership responsibilities and 2+ years as an engineering manager;
- B.Sc./M.Sc. in Computer Science or related technical field;
- Working experience in PHP (Laravel), Node.Js, REACT/Vue.js, Dart (flutter), Kotlin, Swift;
- Excellent knowledge of software and application design and architecture;
- Understanding of software quality assurance principles;
- Great attention to details;
- High quality organizational and leadership skills;
- Outstanding communication and presentation abilities;
- Experience with leading teams;
- A proven track record of success working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment;
- Ability to foster alignment of values, missions, and operational best practice.
