Position Overview:

As the Cleaner Supervisor at Broadway Cafeteria, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the cleanliness and sanitation of our facility. You will lead a team of cleaners, set high cleanliness standards, and implement efficient cleaning protocols to create a safe and enjoyable environment for our patrons. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to maintaining a spotless and organized space.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Supervision and Team Leadership:
    • Lead and supervise a team of cleaners, ensuring they are properly trained and equipped to perform their duties effectively.
    • Schedule and coordinate cleaning shifts to cover all areas of the cafeteria.
  2. Cleaning Operations:
    • Oversee the day-to-day cleaning operations, including the thorough cleaning of kitchen areas, dining spaces, restrooms, and common areas.
    • Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, paying particular attention to high-touch surfaces.
  3. Quality Control:
    • Conduct regular inspections to ensure that cleaning tasks are completed to the highest standards.
    • Implement quality control measures to maintain a consistently clean and hygienic environment.
  4. Inventory Management:
    • Manage and track cleaning supplies and equipment inventory.
    • Place orders for cleaning supplies and maintain optimal stock levels.
  5. Training and Development:
    • Train new cleaning staff on cleaning procedures, safety protocols, and the proper use of cleaning equipment.
    • Provide ongoing training to existing staff to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  6. Equipment Maintenance:
    • Ensure that all cleaning equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition.
    • Arrange for repairs or replacements as needed.
  7. Coordination with Other Departments:
    • Collaborate with kitchen staff, servers, and other departments to coordinate cleaning schedules and address specific cleaning needs.
  8. Hygiene and Sanitation:
    • Implement and enforce hygiene and sanitation protocols to prevent the spread of germs and maintain a clean and safe environment.
    • Monitor and adhere to COVID-19 guidelines and other health regulations.
  9. Reporting and Documentation:
    • Prepare and submit regular reports on cleaning activities, inventory status, and any issues encountered.
    • Maintain accurate documentation of cleaning procedures and protocols.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Previous experience in a supervisory role in cleaning or facilities management.
  • Knowledge of cleaning procedures, equipment, and chemicals.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
