Responsibilities
- On a daily basis, refer to the list of necessary ingredients and review the inventory.
- Purchase ingredients that aren't in storage before the day's first meal
- Give the kitchen workers a schedule breakdown and assign the proper tasks.
- Organize ingredients by chopping meats and veggies.
- Assist the chief chef in preparing meals based on predetermined recipes.
- Keep an eye on the food budget and make sure that all products are purchased for the designated amount.
- Make preparations to keep food in a secure and organized manner Rotate frozen food items in accordance with the guidelines in the kitchen rule book.
- When preparing cuisine, give the head chef the ingredients and utensils.
- Maintain order in the kitchen by making sure the surfaces you're working on are clean.
