Job Overview:

As a Cybersecurity Specialist at GVA Partners, you will be responsible for implementing and managing robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard our clients' sensitive information and digital infrastructure. You will play a crucial role in identifying and mitigating cybersecurity risks, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations, and fostering a secure computing environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of cybersecurity principles, risk management, and hands-on experience in developing and implementing cybersecurity strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

    • Develop and implement comprehensive cybersecurity strategies aligned with GVA Partners' business objectives.
    • Collaborate with leadership to define and prioritize cybersecurity initiatives and investments.
    • Implement and manage threat detection tools and technologies to identify and respond to cybersecurity threats.
    • Conduct regular security assessments and vulnerability scans to proactively address potential risks.
    • Lead incident response efforts, conducting investigations, root cause analyses, and implementing corrective actions.
    • Develop and maintain incident response plans and procedures.
    • Implement security awareness programs to educate employees on cybersecurity best practices.
    • Conduct training sessions to enhance the overall cybersecurity awareness of staff.
    • Develop, update, and enforce security policies, standards, and guidelines.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
    • Implement and manage firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and other network security technologies.
    • Monitor and analyze network traffic for security events.
    • Develop and implement access control policies and procedures.
    • Manage user access privileges and conduct regular access reviews.
    • Coordinate and participate in internal and external security audits.
    • Ensure compliance with regulatory frameworks, industry standards, and contractual obligations.
    • Evaluate, select, and manage relationships with cybersecurity vendors and service providers.
    • Deploy and manage security technologies, including antivirus, encryption, and multi-factor authentication solutions.
    • Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of cybersecurity processes, procedures, and configurations.
    • Generate regular reports on cybersecurity metrics, incidents, and risk assessments for leadership.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Cybersecurity, Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in cybersecurity roles with a focus on risk management and incident response.
  • In-depth knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, standards, and best practices.
  • Hands-on experience with security technologies and tools.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CISM, or equivalent.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
