Aldelno Organic Foods is seeking to hire a Farm Manager
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop comprehensive plans focusing on cabbage and watermelon in open field cultivation.
- Manage planting schedules and crop rotations to maximize yield and quality.
- Regularly assess and enhance soil fertility, particularly for cabbage and watermelon.
- Work with agronomists for soil analysis and nutrient management.
- Design and oversee irrigation tailored to specific crop needs. Water Conservation: Implement practices to maintain optimal moisture levels.
- Develop and execute integrated strategies for pest and disease control.
- Stay informed and apply preventive measures.
- Plan and coordinate efficient harvesting schedules.
- Establish measures to ensure crop quality meets standards and customer specifications.
- Minimize losses and optimize market value. Budgeting: Develop and monitor annual budgets for farming operations.
- Manage resources effectively, identifying cost-saving opportunities. Team
- Lead farm workers, providing guidance and training.
- Enhance team skills in specialized cultivation techniques.
- Stay updated on the latest in vegetable cultivation. Technological Advancements: Experiment with new techniques and technologies.
- Maintain detailed records of crop activities and yields.
- Prepare regular reports for management with key performance indicators.
Qualifications:
- A degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, Agronomy, or a related field.
Salary Range: N150,000 – N180,000.
