With a focus on innovation, excellence, and global perspective, we offer a diverse range of programs including undergraduate, postgraduate, and professional courses designed to empower individuals and organizations to succeed in today's competitive business environment.

Position Overview:

We are seeking a talented and motivated Frontend Developer to join our dynamic technology team at Metropolitan School of Business and Management. As a Frontend Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining responsive and user-friendly web applications and interfaces for our students, faculty, and administrative staff. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to implement innovative solutions that enhance the user experience and support our educational mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Frontend Development: Develop and implement responsive and visually appealing frontend solutions using modern web technologies such as HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript frameworks (e.g., React.js, Angular, Vue.js). Translate design mockups and wireframes into functional web interfaces that meet usability and accessibility standards.
  2. User Interface Design: Design and prototype user interfaces for web applications, portals, and content management systems (CMS). Work closely with UX/UI designers to create intuitive and engaging user experiences that align with our brand identity and design guidelines.
  3. Cross-Browser Compatibility: Ensure cross-browser compatibility and optimal performance of web applications across different browsers and devices. Conduct thorough testing and debugging to identify and resolve frontend issues related to layout, rendering, and functionality.
  4. Mobile Responsiveness: Optimize web applications for mobile devices and tablets to provide a seamless user experience across various screen sizes and resolutions. Implement responsive design techniques and mobile-first development principles to prioritize mobile accessibility and usability.
  5. Integration with Backend Systems: Collaborate with backend developers and API engineers to integrate frontend interfaces with backend systems and databases. Implement RESTful APIs and AJAX calls to retrieve and update data dynamically without page reloads.
  6. Performance Optimization: Optimize frontend code and assets to improve page load times, reduce bandwidth consumption, and enhance overall performance. Implement techniques such as code minification, image optimization, and lazy loading to optimize resource delivery.
  7. Version Control and Collaboration: Use version control systems (e.g., Git) to manage codebase changes and collaborate effectively with other developers and team members. Follow best practices for code organization, documentation, and naming conventions to ensure maintainability and scalability of frontend codebase.
  8. Continuous Improvement: Stay abreast of emerging trends, best practices, and technologies in frontend development. Experiment with new tools and frameworks to enhance productivity and efficiency. Participate in code reviews, knowledge sharing sessions, and technical discussions to foster a culture of learning and continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Frontend Developer or similar role, with a minimum of 3 years of experience in frontend web development.
  • Proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, and frontend frameworks/libraries such as React.js, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Strong understanding of responsive design principles, mobile-first development, and cross-browser compatibility.
  • Experience with web accessibility standards (WCAG) and usability best practices.
  • Familiarity with frontend build tools (e.g., Webpack, Gulp), preprocessors (e.g., Sass, Less), and version control systems (e.g., Git).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
