Job Description

Delonjobs is seeking to hire a Head Projects, eMobility & Renewable Energy for a leading financial institution in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all engineering projects within the Transportation and Renewable Energy Group. The scope of the job includes civil, mechanical, and electrical constructions and projects, both direct and indirect (3rd party), among others.
Interested candidate must possess a minimum of a first degree in Engineering or related discipline with minimum of 10 years’ mid-senior management experience, preferably in the downstream energy sector.

Responsibilities
•    Provide the relevant inputs to the Group Head and other department heads towards making strategic investment decisions 
•    Ensure that all projects comply with relevant QA/QC and HSSE (health, safety, security, and environmental) codes  
•    Ensure that all projects comply with applicable laws and regulations  
•    Drive value engineering by analyzing designs, features, systems, equipment, and material selections for the purpose of achieving essential functions at the lowest life cycle cost consistent with required performance, quality, reliability, and safety. 
•    Develop and maintain a maintenance framework for all company and related party projects and assets for longevity and ROI 
•    Lead R&D in areas of core competence and advises the unit heads on the best courses of action 
•    Drive the engineering strategy, best practices, and processes to meet business objectives and operational needs 
•    Provide leadership and coach, mentor as well as develop direct reports and manage a high performing team that delivers continuous improvement and added value

Requirements:
•    Minimum of a first degree in Engineering or related discipline.
•    Membership of COREN  
•    Masters’ Degree will be an added advantage. 
•    Minimum of 10 years’ mid-senior management experience, preferably in the downstream energy sector.
•    Demonstrable experience leading an engineering function with a proven track record in engineering leadership delivering effective engineering strategies, policies, processes, and systems. 
•    Project management skills

•    Experience in e-learning program development and assessment.
•    Proven track record in team development and promotability assessments.
•    Knowledge of minimum standards and guidelines for engineering practices.
•    Familiarity with mobility and renewable energy engineering frameworks.
•    Experience in internal audit processes and ratings.
•    Understanding of regulatory certifications and compliance requirements.
