Job Description
Responsibilities
- Advising the management on safety issues as well as employing the company’s health and safety policies and procedures.
- Monitoring and controlling safety and compliance on site as per regulations and company policies.
- Conducting safety inspections and internal audits and reporting to management with suggestions.
- Ensure preventive measures, administrative control and personal protective equipment are implemented and used.
- Investigate and report accidents and near misses.
- Record keeping of all safety events, including near misses, training, and drills.
Candidate Requirements
- Candidates should possess an HND, OND / BSc qualification with 1-3 years experience.
- Experience in a similar Health and Safety role.
- Demonstrable experience in the Food/manufacturing/FMCG industry.
- Exceptional understanding of Health and Safety legal requirements and best practice.
- A collaborator who is also able to lead by example.
- Strong Communicator.
- Astute individual with the ability to challenge where needed to ensure best practice.
