Job Description

DelonJobs is seeking to hire an IT Audit Manager in Lagos for a leading HMO in Nigeria.

Reporting to the Group Head of IARC, the IT Auditor will be responsible for assisting in the preparation and implementation of a risk-based audit plan to assess, report on, and make suggestions for improving the Company’s key operational and internal controls relating to information technology, processes, and people. 

At least 7-8 years of IT Audit experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified below.

The incumbent will also be called upon to conduct ongoing and planned assessments of the organization’s risk management, systems of internal control and governance processes relating to IT risks across organizations.

IT audits cover the following subjects matters: 

IT and cybersecurity reviews, IT Security, IT service providers reviews, Business Continuity Management and Disaster Recovery, Project Management, Pre and Post implementation reviews for IT projects, Change Management, Logical Access Management, IT Governance, Data Backup, Cloud Computing, IT Operations, and reviews for Industry/Regulatory compliance.

Gross Salary: ₦13,000,000.00 – ₦17,000,000.00 per year

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Solid understanding of auditing procedures and necessary independence to conduct their investigations.
  • Develop a risk-based IT Audit Plan and perform audits in line with the approved audit plan.
  • Examine and analyze internal controls and business risks through IT audit work, developing audit scopes, and procedures, and preparing audit reports.
  • Demonstrate knowledge of IT operations and experience executing audits on IT/network security architecture design including network platforms.
  • Assess and advise on security technology and security-related configurations e.g. firewall, IDS/IPS, content filtering, network routing equipment, Wi-Fi controller, network access control, etc.
  • Develop IT audit template for information gathering and reporting of observations.
  • Adhere to auditing standards established by the Group Internal Audit Standard.
  • Identify best practices to meet IT audit requirements promptly.
  • Maintain clear and complete IT audit documentation.
  • Monitoring IT systems to ensure they follow policies and practices.
  • Articulate IT audit findings and communicate recommendations to the Group Head IARC.
  • Follow up with process owners to ensure prompt resolution of audit recommendations.
  • Compile a vast array of data into a coherent report and share with the Group Head IARC for presentation to the Board Audit Committee.
  • To attend to any additional responsibilities as requested by the Group Head IARC.

EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Information Systems or related relevant field
  • At least 7-8 years of IT Audit experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
  • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA) is compulsory. Other IT certifications will be an added advantage.
  • Previous work experience in a fast-paced environment.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

  •  Knowledge of current technological developments/trends in area of Infrastructure, IT security, IT Operations, Operating Systems
  • Knowledge of IT auditing concepts and principles.
  • Ability to evaluate and conduct reviews on a range of Hardware, Operating Systems, Databases, Network Infrastructure, and distributed applications.
  • Ability to gather, analyze, and compile information and prepare insightful reports as required.
  •  Ability to perform control reviews on systems development, operations, programming, control, and security procedures and standards.
  • Ability to review system backup, disaster recovery, and maintenance procedures.
  • Knowledge of software requirements for the auditing of computing systems and procedures.
  • Knowledge of computer systems development and programming.
