Job Overview: We are seeking a proactive and customer-focused IT Support Officer to join our team at ADDAS Ultimate Limited. The IT Support Officer will be responsible for providing technical support and assistance to end-users, troubleshooting IT issues, and maintaining IT systems and infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. End-User Support: Provide timely and effective technical support to end-users via phone, email, remote assistance, or in-person to resolve IT-related issues and inquiries.

  2. Hardware and Software Troubleshooting: Diagnose and troubleshoot hardware, software, and network problems, including desktops, laptops, printers, peripherals, operating systems, and applications.

  3. System Administration: Assist in the administration and maintenance of IT systems, including user account management, access controls, backups, and updates.

  4. IT Asset Management: Maintain an inventory of IT assets, including hardware, software licenses, and peripherals, and ensure accurate records are kept up to date.

  5. IT Security: Assist in implementing and maintaining IT security measures, including antivirus software, firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and data encryption, to protect against cyber threats and vulnerabilities.

  6. Network Support: Provide basic network support, including troubleshooting network connectivity issues, configuring routers and switches, and assisting with LAN/WAN infrastructure.

  7. Documentation and Knowledge Sharing: Create and maintain documentation, user guides, and knowledge base articles to assist end-users and facilitate knowledge sharing within the IT team.

  8. User Training: Conduct training sessions and workshops for end-users on IT tools, software applications, security best practices, and other IT-related topics to enhance digital literacy and productivity.

  9. IT Procurement: Assist in the procurement of IT equipment, software licenses, and services, including vendor evaluations, price negotiations, and purchase orders.

  10. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements, efficiency gains, and cost savings in IT operations and recommend solutions to management.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in IT support, helpdesk, or technical support roles.
  • Strong knowledge of desktop operating systems (Windows, macOS) and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Familiarity with ITIL best practices and IT service management principles.
  • Excellent troubleshooting skills and the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact professionally with end-users of all levels.
  • IT certifications such as CompTIA A+, Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), or ITIL Foundation are an advantage.
