Job Description
A reputable law firm situate and based in Abuja, FCT is looking to hire dynamic and forward-thinking lawyers to join her legal team.
Key Responsibilities

Advise and represent clients in courts, arbitration and negotiation proceedings.

Provide well researched legal opinion ensuring legal risks are appropriately identified and resolved.

Conduct search at AGIS, Land Registry, Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and other government parastatals.

Conduct research and analyse legal issues.

Engage in client counselling and client management.

Prepare and file court processes, such as Motions, Writs, Election Petitions etc
-
Draft and review legal documents, including Contracts, MOUs, Wills, etc
-
Communicate with clients, colleagues, and others involved in the case.
Role Specification
-
First Degree in Law (LLB) from a reputable institution and BL from the Nigerian Law School.

Minimum of 1-years post-qualification experience as a Legal Practitioner.

A Master’s Degree(s) or relevant professional qualification(s) would be an added advantage.
Required Competencies
-
Knowledge of Laws, the Nigerian legal system and Legal document drafting

Good Communication skills (oral and written),

Use of MS Word and computer literacy is required.

Good use of Library index and e-library (legalpaedia, Law Pavilion etc)
