Job Description

Redpeppe – Pizza & Grill is hiring Pastry chef/Baker located in Lagos, Nigeria. The ideal candidate would be responsible for preparation of pizza dough and all other pizza ingredients and also prepare authentic handmade artisan pizza while maintaining quality standards, checking inventory and advised management on stocking needs. Interested candidates must possess the following qualifications BA/BSc/HND , First School Leaving Certificate , NCE , OND , Others , Secondary School (SSCE) and have and have an experience of 4 – 5 years in the following related fields Catering / Confectionery  , Hospitality / Hotel / Restaurant. Job Responsibilities

Job Requirements

  • Applicants should have completed the SSCE and have at least five years of relevant job experience.
  • Quick to work and cooperative in a group.
  • Must have previous experience working as a cook, chef, or baker in the culinary sector.
  • practical understanding of both regional cooking methods and the continental dish-making process.
  • a strict focus on food preparation, nutrition, and hygiene standards.
  • Working hours include the weekends, nights, and, if needed, holidays.
  • ability to function in a production-oriented, fast-paced setting.
  • Need to live in Lagos or be ready to work there.

SKILLS

  • Should know how to make and toss dough.
  •  How to prepare good pizza sauces.
  •  How to roll out crusts and add ingredients according to recipes
  • Makes ensuring that the cooking stations are prepared with the required tools and sterilized.
