Our client is a social enterprise with major focus on driving financial literacy and inclusion through the various educational tiers and SME landscape and are looking to recruit a Product Manager to manage existing financial literacy products (digital & non-digital) as well as drive development of new products within the broad financial literacy field.

We are in search of an experienced Product Manager who is passionate about building products that our customers love. The successful applicant will join a dynamic and fast-paced environment and work with cross-functional teams to design, build and roll-out products that deliver on the company’s vision and strategy. He/She is responsible for gathering customer requirements and defining a clear vision with the technology developers, engineers, and all technical team, as well as overseeing product strategy, pricing and positioning strategies.

The Product Manager is responsible for driving/coordinating products development, enhancement, and rollout to support the organisation’s vision and strategy. The Product Manager will, from time to time combine both product planning and marketing to manage the entire life cycle of products development, rollout, and management.

Job Purpose

The Product Manager will especially oversee the end-to-end management of the digital platform and support the customers acquisition drive, while following through on set targets, backed by prolific users and partners sign-on and activities. The Product Manager is responsible for gathering and prioritizing customer requirements to enhance the digital platform which hosts its suite of products, while keeping up to date on all developments essential to achieving our desired outcomes.

This position is full-time and requires some intra-city trips to develop and support the network of users and partners. Ultimately, the role holder will boost subscribers and users sign-on and contribute to the organization’s long-term business growth.

Job Description and Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical running of the digital platform and support the updates.
  • Deliver on the go-to-market plan and implementation, with continuous enhancement to products features.
  • Lead the sponsorship and partnership drive of the digital platform.
  • Actively drive users’ sign-on and ensure at least 80% active users/customers base, while ensuring profitability and commercial success.
  • Create buy-in for product vision both internally and with key external partners.
  • Develop and continuously manage product pricing and positioning strategies.
  • Develop and translate product strategy into detailed requirements and prototypes.
  • Scope and prioritize activities based on business and customer impact.
  • Drive product launches including working across teams.
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed.
  • Act as a product evangelist to build awareness and understanding of the company’s products.
  • Represent the company by visiting customers to solicit feedback on its products and services.
  • Exhibit a deep understanding of customer experience, identify, and fill product gaps and generate new ideas that grow market share, improve customer experience and drive growth.

Qualifications

  • Solid technical background with understanding and/or hands-on experience in software development and web technologies, especially gaming.
  • Minimum of five years relevant working experience in Technology/Fintech products development, management and enhancements, or other related roles.
  • Proven track record of managing all aspects of a successful product throughout its lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to develop technology product and marketing strategies and effectively communicate recommendations for possible tweaks or changes.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering or equivalent is required; Masters degree is preferred.

Required Competencies

  • Understanding of and experience with the Unity Gaming Platform is required.
  • Good knowledge of MongoDB, a source-available cross-platform document-oriented database program is desired.
  • Understanding of a multilevel player game is required.
  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).
  • Good organizational and multi-tasking abilities.
  • The ability to exercise initiative and sound judgment and to react with discretion under varying conditions.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with the ability to work with little or no supervision.
  • Good interpersonal skills and demonstrate creativity.
  • Time management skills, with ability to work independently and as part of a team.
