DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Quality Assurance Engineer for a tier-1 bank in Lagos, Nigeria who will ensure the quality of software products, oversee the test of functionalities, and confirm the usability of new or existing software before they are released to customers. The ideal candidate will work closely with developers, and other product team members to identify issues, develop and execute test plans, and ensure that prompt feedback is provided to the team on what needs improvement to produce top-quality programs that meet customer expectations.

Candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience in Quality Assurance Testing. Salary is negotiable.

Responsibilities:

• Evaluate product code according to specifications.
• Ensure adherence to software development methodologies and standards.
• Develop, implement, and execute test plans or cases (manual or automated) for software products and analyze results.
• Collaborate with developers and product team members to identify and address software issues and bugs.
• Responsible for finding bugs and errors in a computer program or software system; they create test cases and scenarios.
• Document and report software defects and monitor progress on defect resolution.
• Track and report project quality status and metrics.
• Assist in reviewing project requirements and designs to ensure they are complete and testable.
• Perform unit, regression, and load testing of software systems.
• Create, execute, and maintain automated test scripts and tools.
• Review and analyze system specifications.
• Collaborate with other QA Engineers to develop effective strategies and test plans.
• Work with cross-functional teams to ensure quality throughout the software development lifecycle.
• Verify that the data in the system is always represented correctly.
• Maintain a software fix schedule, write reports on progress towards the software fix schedule, and perform quality assurance testing of the software.
• Working with technical support and production to solve issues while assisting in the overall project delivery.
• Conduct post-release/post-implementation testing.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 5 years experience in software quality assurance.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer.
• Experience with automated testing tools such as Selenium, Cypress, and JUnit or NUnit.
• Experience in developing and executing test plans and test cases.
• Working knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Zephyr) and SQL.
• Strong understanding of software testing methodologies and quality assurance principles.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving aptitude.
• Excellent communication (both written and oral) and teamwork skills.
• Team player with the ability to work independently.
• The ability to interface seamlessly with all teams involved from idea conception to production.
• Experience in project management and QA methodology.
• Familiarity with Agile frameworks and regression testing is a plus.
• Attention to detail.
