Job Overview:

As a Quality Assurance Tester at Oloture techyard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality, reliability, and functionality of our software products. You will work closely with development teams to understand project requirements, design test cases, execute test plans, and identify and report defects. The ideal candidate should have a keen eye for detail, strong analytical skills, and a passion for delivering flawless software experiences to users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Test Planning:
  • Collaborate with project managers, developers, and business analysts to understand project requirements and design comprehensive test plans.
  • Define test objectives, scope, and strategy for each project.
• Test Case Design:
  • Develop detailed and well-structured test cases based on project requirements and specifications.
  • Ensure test cases cover various scenarios, edge cases, and potential user interactions.
• Test Execution:
  • Execute test cases manually and, when applicable, use automated testing tools.
  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and performance testing as needed.
  • Document and communicate test results and findings.
• Defect Identification and Reporting:
  • Identify, isolate, and document software defects and issues.
  • Work closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified defects.
  • Verify bug fixes and updates to confirm successful resolution.
• Regression Testing:
  • Conduct thorough regression testing to ensure that new features and bug fixes do not negatively impact existing functionality.
  • Develop and maintain regression test suites.
• Automation Testing (Optional):
  • Collaborate with automation engineers to implement and maintain automated test scripts.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of automation frameworks.
• Collaboration and Communication:
  • Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and designers.
  • Communicate test progress, results, and any potential roadblocks.
• Performance Testing:
  • Conduct performance testing to assess the scalability and responsiveness of software applications.
  • Identify and address performance bottlenecks.
• Documentation:
  • Maintain comprehensive documentation of test cases, test results, and testing processes.
  • Contribute to the development of user guides and documentation.
• Continuous Learning:
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, testing methodologies, and emerging technologies.
  • Participate in training programs and knowledge-sharing sessions within the team.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester or similar role.
• Familiarity with software testing methodologies, tools, and best practices.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to testing.
• Experience with both manual and automated testing (if applicable).
• Knowledge of testing frameworks and tools such as Selenium, JIRA, or similar.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
• Experience with performance testing tools is a plus.
