DelonJobs is seeking to hire a Senior Project Engineer for a leading engineering company in Nigeria to oversee civil infrastructure project, and will be responsible for strategic planning, stakeholder liaison, progress reporting, and ensuring projects are on time and within budget. The candidate should have minimum 7 years of experience in a construction or an oil and gas industry. Monthly gross salary is N600,000 monthly.

Duties/Responsibilities

•    Lead the strategic planning, organization, and execution of civil infrastructure projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and project objectives.

•    Report directly to the Project Manager, actively participating in site visits and client meetings to provide updates and insights on project progress and milestones.

•    Serve as the primary liaison between various onsite stakeholders, including clients, consultants, and suppliers, fostering collaborative relationships and addressing concerns promptly.

•    Generate comprehensive daily progress reports and material take-off reports, leveraging technical expertise to provide accurate and actionable information for project management.

•    Develop and implement construction methodologies, manpower schedules, and equipment schedules tailored to the specific requirements of each project, optimizing resource allocation and project efficiency.

•  Familiarity with Oil & Gas industry-specific standards, regulations, and compliance requirements.

•    Demonstrate a robust technical understanding of civil engineering principles, particularly as they relate to building construction scopes.

•    Provide direct supervision and guidance to onsite personnel, ensuring alignment with project objectives and quality standards.

•    Maintain a steadfast focus on project timelines and budgetary constraints, employing effective management strategies to ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Experience:

• Minimum of 7 years of experience in a reputable Nigerian company, with a proven track record of successfully managing civil engineering projects.

Qualifications:

•  Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering.

• Preferred qualifications include a Master's degree in civil engineering or construction management.
